All of this is to be found uniquely in one country - Italy. Here the holiday mood is a way of life. Titan’s Italy does not represent all that this wonderful country has to offer, as that would be impossible, particularly as a visitor’s most treasured moments are likely to be the individual and surprising discoveries they make for themselves. It does, we believe, provide the ideal framework for the perfect holiday, whether your interest is in relaxing at one lovely spot, enjoying a two-centre experience or taking one of our celebrated tours that explores sections of the country in such ravishing detail.

Art Cities
The classic trio of Venice, Florence and Rome are bound to enthral both the first time visitor and the most seasoned of Italian travellers. Every corner, every alley and every piazza displays a sign of the artistic and cultural heritage of this nation, from the fountains to the sculptures and from the frescoes to the palazzi. Our Treasures of Italy holiday provides a taster of Italy and some places can be explored further in many of our other tours, including Italy-Florence, Chianti Country and Elba. Our Opera in Verona holiday, which includes one or two evenings of opera in the grand setting of the Arena of Verona is a delightful introduction to the north of Italy.

The Golden Riviera and the Heel of Italy
The Amalfi coast, known as the Golden Riviera, with its road hugging the cliffside from Sorrento to Amalfi, is simply one of the paradise areas of the world. We are delighted to offer a two-centre holiday that combines Sorrento and Ischia. The island of Ischia, known for its luxuriant vegetation, pinewood rich coastline indented with bays and creeks and its domeroofed cottages often with outside staircases, is an enchanting spot. While our Italy’s Golden Riviera tour, remains the most complete and popular exploration of this region, we are pleased to add our Sorrento & the Amalfi Coast eight day sojourn to our portfolio of Italian holidays, allowing you time to relax in this charming coastal town. A different perspective of Italy is gained whilst you delve into this relatively unexplored and very traditional area of Italy on our Puglia - The Heel of Italy holiday. With its rugged coastline, fertile plains and Baroque towns such as Lecce, one of the highlights will undoubtedly be the UNESCO world heritage site of Alberobello, with over 1500 of its traditional typical trulli houses dotting the landscape - the circular and conical-roofed white washed houses whose origin are still unknown.

Sicily
A land of mystery, Sicily still manages to retain the exotic atmosphere associated with the succession of various foreign rulers, that have left their trace on this largest of Mediterranean islands. These influences have served to interweave a rich social fabric that manifests in the friendliness of the Sicilian people and in their architectural heritage. With a visit to Mount Etna, still active and snow-capped most of the year, to Noto, the handsome Baroque capital of Sicily, there is much to be discovered on our Sicily - Jewel of the Mediterranean holiday.

Sardinia
With a never-ending coastline, Sardinia is probably most renowned for the incomparable beauty of its northeastern corner known as the Emerald Coast. Porto Cervo manages to combine the vibrant colours of the sea with its image as a rich man’s playground. Penetrate into the mountainous heartland, however, and the Sardinian traditions are alive, where villagers still dress in their costumes and shepherds can be seen herding their flock. Our Emerald Coast island getaway allows for relaxation and sunshine whereas a more in-depth tour of the island can be undertaken with our 11 day Sublime Sardinia holiday.

Charm of the Lakes & Mountains
It would be difficult to imagine a more relaxing holiday than a stay by the Italian lakesides and these can be explored on one of our tranquil retreats - Lake Como and Lake Maggiore – or on our Italian Lakes & Mountains holiday which includes a stay on all three Italian lakes. Lake Maggiore, renowned for its majestic beauty, is sheltered by the mountains of the Alps and Pre-Alps, allowing luxuriant and exotic flora to bloom on the Borromean Islands of Isola Bella and Isola Madre. Locarno at the northern tip of Maggiore, shaded by palm and orange trees, with the Piazza Grande is a perfect place to relax and unwind in the outdoor cafés.

Lake Como offers the stimulating variety of tiny ports, charming villages and exotic gardens bordering the water. As a hideaway in the past for the Milanese aristocracy, one can still glimpse the many imposing villas lining the lakeshore.

Lake Garda has a thriving display of lemons, olives and semi-tropical flowers climbing among the picturesque buildings on its west banks and the mountains of Monte Baldo in the east. Explore promenades, an abundance of cafés and boutique-style shops on our Lake Garda and the Dolomites tour.

We are also pleased to offer our multi-centre holiday, Lake Geneva & Lake Como featuring the Glacier Express which links these two lakes in Switzerland and Italy by the Glacier Express rail trip, recently voted as one of the greatest and most spectacular rail journeys in the world.
